Buying the best bongs interestingly or even for the 100th time can be overwhelming. There are so many different styles, percolators, flats, and glass thicknesses that it’s hard to say where to start. The main types to browse are straight cylinders, measuring glass bongs, and recyclers. Straight cylinders have thick smoke and clean quickly. Measuring glass bongs have more volume and less thick smoke is harder to clean, and have even bigger tears.
Glass thickness
The thickness of the glass is vital as it determines how long your bong will last. The thicker the better clearly, but also try to consider the mood the bong will be in. If it’s protected and only stays in one room, don’t worry so much about the thickness. If you intend to carry it with you everywhere or have clumsy companions, try to get the thickest glass. The thinnest glass starts at 2-3mm and then goes up to 3-5mm is your typical thickness. So at this point, 5-7mm glass is very thick and hard to break. Pick anywhere over 3.5mm thick glass and you should be fine.

Percolators are a hotly debated topic as there are no reasonable champions out of which one is awesome, everyone just has a number 1 and sticks with it. There are two things you look for in a colander: the perfection it gives when filtering and how much drag it gives when smoking through the small openings. Clean your bong
You want to consider cleaning your new bong. In the long run, your bong will be filthy and loaded with tar and smoke buildup around the glass. In case you choose a basic bong without any strainer, cleaning will be simple. Assuming you choose a bong with a colander with even 2 or 3 of them cleaning it won’t be so natural. To buy a bong with a colander, get an ashtray. It is much easier to clean an ashtray than a bong.
